Borrowing,
Renewing,

Materials
Borrowing
materials:
Most materials
may be borrowed
for four weeks.
High demand
items (best
sellers,
circulating
magazines,
videos and CDs)
may be borrowed
for two
weeks.Starting
on July 7, 2007,
patrons may
check out up to
7 DVDs for one
week . Need more
time? DVDs can
be renewed
online or by
phone for an
additional week.
Up to 50 items
may be checked
out on one
library card.
DVDs are limited
to seven per
card. CDs are
limited to 5 per
card.
Renewing
materials:
You may
renew items that
circulate for
four weeks for
an additional
two weeks, if
there are no
reserves on the
items. You may
renew items by
phone. Have your
library card
handy and dial
479-4636.
Placing
holds on
materials:
Holds may be
placed in
person, online,
or by telephone,
on items that
are in use or on
order. You may
request up to
four holds at a
time. Items will
be sent to the
most convenient
location for
you. You are
notified when
the items become
available, and
have three days
in which to pick
them up. Hold
items may only
be checked out
on the library
card that was
used to place
the hold.
Returning
materials:
Items may
be returned to
any Lee County
Library System
location. After
hours return
drops are
available at
most locations.
Overdue charges
are 10 cents per
day per item to
a maximum of $5
per item per
checkout period.
Lost or damaged
material will be
subject to a
replacement fee.
