Books 
All libraries carry a wide selection of fiction and nonfiction books in regular and large type formats, as well as a reference collection. Books and journal articles that the system does not own can often be borrowed through Interlibrary Loan. Special collections exist at the following libraries:

Audios
Each library contains a collection of books, fiction and nonfiction, which have been read onto cassette tape or CD (compact disks). These may be borrowed for four weeks.

Computer Software
Is available for check out from all locations. These may be borrowed for four weeks. There is a limit of five software items checked out at a time, per library card.
 
Videos/DVDs
The libraries carry collections of educational and instructional video cassettes and DVDs, which can be borrowed for two weeks. The Talking Books Library carries descriptive videos, narrated videos for the visually impaired.

 Newspapers and Magazines 

Photocopiers 
Photocopiers are available at all locations ($.10/page). They cannot copy in color. 

Investment Sources 
Many libraries carry financial information such as Value Line Investment Survey and Morningstar Mutual Fund Values. The Fort Myers-Lee County Public Library carries the largest investment collection. Call your library or the Telephone Reference department (479-INFO) to verify where the desired source is available. 

 Meeting Rooms  
The Lee County Library System provides meeting rooms for library activities and programs at many of its locations. Not-for-profit organizations may apply for use of a library meeting room for one meeting at a time. The meeting room guidelines explain eligibility. For applications and availability, please ask at the library of your choice.

Internet access is currently available at all of our locations. The Internet Use at the library lists our rules for use and user responsibilities.
