​Notice of Public Hearing Lee County Utilities (LCU) Yacht Club Colony Water System Rehabilitation Project A Final Public Hearing will be held at the Lee County Board of County Commissioners Chambers to ratify substantial completion of the Yacht Club Colony Water Distribution System Rehabilitation Project ("Project") and to confirm the special assessment for all properties benefited by the Project within the Yacht Club Colony subdivision.  October 21, 2014 the Board held a public hearing and adopted Resolution No. 14-10-18 ("Commencement Resolution") authorizing commencement of construction for the Project to include the installation of potable water lines, abandonment, removal and disposal of existing pipe and connection to an existing water main on Winston Road. The Project has now been substantially completed and, pursuant to the Commencement Resolution and the Florida Statutes, a Preliminary Assessment Roll establishing a special assessment for all properties benefitted by the improvements made by the County has been prepared and submitted to the Lee County Clerk of Court.  The boundaries of the Project and the benefited properties are: PARCEL A: LOTS 95 THROUGH 107 AND LOTS 128 THROUGH 183 OF YACHT CLUB COLONY, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF AS RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 10, PAGES 95-96; Owners will be able to finance the assessment and the Water Connection fee. If an owner chooses to finance the assessment and the water connection fee, then the cost to the resident is $7,711.13 (including 2.11% interest over a 20 year period) which can be paid in annual installments of $385.56.The public hearing will take place on Tuesday, the 2nd day of June, 2015, at 9:30 AM at the Lee County Board of County Commissioners Chambers in the Old Lee County Courthouse 2nd floor, 2120 Main Street, Fort Myers, FL.
