“OPEN HOUSE”
The Lee County Department of Transportation (LC DOT) is holding a public preconstruction meeting for the A&W Bulb Road Improvements Project, from 4:30-6:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Lakes Regional Library, 15290 Bass Road, Fort Myers, Florida. The public is invited to attend anytime between 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. to view project plans and talk with the Lee County project team about the project. The meeting will be conducted in an “open house” format; no formal presentation will be given.
Construction begins this month to reconstruct and resurface the existing two-lane roadway between Gladiolus Drive and Heritage Cove Boulevard. The project will widen the travel lanes to 11 feet and add four-foot paved shoulders that will be designated as bike lanes on each side of the road. Also included in the project will be the construction of a five-foot sidewalk that will connect the existing sidewalk segments on the east side and will extend from Gladiolus Drive to McGregor Boulevard. Improvements will also include roadway drainage, and sewer and water line improvements. The project is estimated to be complete in spring 2013.
