Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, the 16th day of December, 2014, at 9:30 a.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, in the Board Chambers of the old County Courthouse, 2120 Main Street, the Board of County Commissioners of Lee County, Florida, will consider the enactment of one county ordinance in accordance with Article VIII, §1, of the Florida Constitution and Chapter 125, Florida Statutes. The proposed county ordinance title is as follows:
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE STONEYBROOK NORTH COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT; PROVIDING A DISTRICT NAME; SETTING FORTH THE AUTHORITY FOR ADOPTING THE ORDINANCE; AUTHORIZING THE EXERCISE OF SPECIAL POWERS; ESTABLISHING THE EXTERNAL BOUNDARIES OF THE DISTRICT; DESIGNATING THE INITIAL MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS; ESTABLISHING THE GOVERNING DISTRICT CHARTER AS FLORIDA STATUTES CHAPTER 190; PROVIDING FOR NOTICE TO SUBSEQUENT PURCHASERS; PROVIDING FOR MODIFICATIONS THAT MAY ARISE FROM CONSIDERATION AT PUBLIC HEARING; AND PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Copies of this Notice and the proposed Ordinance are on file in the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Lee County, Florida, Minutes Department and the Office of Public Resources, both located in the County Administration Building, 2115 Second Street, Fort Myers, Florida.
Interested parties may appear at the meeting, in person or through a representative, and be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance.
Anyone wishing to appeal the decision(s) made by the Board with respect to any matter considered at this meeting will need a record of the proceedings. Generally, a verbatim record, including all testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based, will be necessary.
The ordinance, if adopted by the Board at this meeting, will take effect upon its filing with the Office of the Secretary of the Florida Department of State.
