​1083-2016-4   Notice is hereby given that Lee County will apply for a USC Section 5307 Urbanized Area Formula Program grant with the Federal Transit Administration which will provide for capital project assistance to Lee County's Transit Department, LeeTran.

Any interested party may request a public hearing by the Lee County Board of County Commissioners regarding the Program of Projects for this Urban Area Formula Program grant application.  To request a public hearing please submit a written request within ten (10) days of this notice to Lee County Transit 3401 Metro Parkway, Fort Myers, Florida 33901.

Any interested party may obtain a copy of this grant application at Lee County Transit 3401 Metro Parkway, Fort Myers, Florida 33901 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Project Description: The project cost of this USC Section 5307 Urbanized Area Formula Program grant is estimated at $5,731,365 for the federal share portion of FY 2016 appropriation available under Fixing America's Surface Transportation (FAST) Act. Program funds will be matched with the state's transportation development credits. 

Proposed projects include funding for Paratransit ADA vehicle replacements, preventative maintenance, ADA paratransit service, bus passenger shelters, Farebox replacement, planning, Associated Capital Maintenance Items, and State Infrastructure Bank loan capitalization.
