PLEASE BE ADVISED that one or more members of the Lee County Conservation Land Acquisition and Stewardship Advisory Committee (CLASAC) – Conservation 20/20 Program and County staff will conduct a field trip of an existing preserve, as follows:

DATE: Friday, February 16, 2018

What: CLASAC Field Trip 2 of 3: Bob Janes Preserve

Time: 8:30 a.m. to noon (Approximate time frame 3.5 hours for field trip)

Where: Meet in the west parking lot for Telegraph Creek Preserve on Argo Drive in Alva. Driving directions: From the intersection of SR-31 and N. River Rd., travel west on N. River Rd. for 2.8 miles. Turn left on Argo Drive. Travel Argo Drive for 600 ft. Just as Argo Drive bends to turn north, enter the parking lot for Telegraph Creek Preserve. Location Map.

Registration in advance is required and preference is given to CLASAC members due to limited seating in the tour vehicles. Registration deadline is noon, Wednesday, February 14; please register as early as possible. Please note: No decisions regarding management of the preserve property will be made during the field trip. Final decisions regarding land management and stewardship of preserves will be made by the Board of County Commissioners.
