​Notice of Intent to enter into a land exchange and easement 
conveyance agreement authorizing the exchange of public property
pursuant to Sec. 125.37 of the Florida Statutes

A public meeting will be held on November 19, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. in the Board of County Commissioners Meeting Room, in the Lee County Courthouse, 2120 Main Street, Fort Myers, Florida. At this meeting, the Board of County Commissioners will consider the exchange of public property pursuant to Florida Statutes Sec. 125.37.

This exchange satisfies a condition of a settlement agreement entered into by Lee County and Corkscrew Grove Limited Partnership. Corkscrew Grove Limited Partnership, or its successor, CAM7-Sub, LLC, will convey approximately 195.64 acres of land abutting State Road 82 to Lee County. Lee County will convey approximately 195.64 acres of land abutting Corkscrew Road to Corkscrew Grove Limited Partnership, or the aforementioned successor. The Parties will convey easements in conjunction with the land exchange for purposes of facilitating future development.

The closing of this exchange will proceed in accordance with the Land Exchange and Easement Conveyance Agreement.

Copies of this Notice and the Land Exchange and Easement Conveyance Agreement are available for inspection or copying during regular business hours at the Minutes Office of the Clerk of Courts of Lee County, located in the Courthouse Administration Building, 2115 Second Street, Fort Myers, Florida. The Minutes Office telephone number is (239) 533-2328.

Interested parties may appear at the meeting of the Board of County Commissioners, in person or through a representative, and be heard by the Board on the proposed Exchange.

Anyone wishing to appeal the decision made by the Board on matters considered at the meeting will need a recording of the proceedings. Generally, it will be necessary to obtain a verbatim record, including all testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based.
