The Lee County Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing to consider changes to the boundaries of the existing Lee County Commissioner Districts. The proposed changes to the district boundaries are necessary to keep the districts as nearly equal in proportion to population as possible, as required by Florida law. The hearing will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2011, in the Board of County Commissioners' Hearing Chambers in the Courthouse at 2120 Main Street, downtown Fort Myers. The hearing will commence at 5:00 p.m. This meeting is open to the public. Interested parties may appear and be heard.

If a person decides to appeal a final decision of the Board at this hearing, that person will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based.
