Status: Completed
For Department: Lee County Parks and Recreation
Details: This project consists of replacing the existing source of irrigation water (reclaimed water) with a constant source of water located on a Conservation 20/20 parcel to the east of homes on Haige Drive. The project includes the installation of a new irrigation system pump, and the directional drilling of approximately 1700 linear feet of 6-inch high density polyethylene (HDPE) irrigation pipe. Using this method of installation, rather than the traditional “open cut” method, will minimize disruptions to traffic and the inconvenience of open ditches. This project will reduce the amount of maintenance and re-sodding and re-seeding of the fields, resulting in a significant cost savings and ensuring the fields remain in playable condition throughout the year.
