IR014 -- San Carlos Park Drainage and Sidewalk Repairs
Project Description: The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (now the Department of Commerce) awarded Lee County $7,119,293.14 of HUD Hurricane Irma Community Development Block Grant Disaster Relief funds to remove debris in drainage systems and conduct drainage repair and sidewalk replacement in specified low- to moderate-income portions of the San Carlos Park Community.
Project Status: Sidewalk and roadside drainage construction is complete. Partial drainage system improvements to canals were halted by Hurricane Ian and are on track to resume again in 2024.

IR023 -- Repair Sidewalks in Eight Neighborhoods
Project Description: The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (now the Department of Commerce) awarded Lee County $2,718,577.00 of HUD Hurricane Irma Community Development Block Grant Disaster Relief funds – later allocated to Mitigation funding – to repair damaged sidewalks and related drainage systems in eight low-to-moderate income neighborhoods of Palmona Park, Charleston Park, Pine Manor, Beacon Manor, Page Park, Suncoast Estates, Harlem Heights and Russell Park South.
Project Status: Sidewalk and roadside drainage construction is under way.
IR034 -- Replace the Richmond Pedestrian Bridge
Project Description: The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (now the Department of Commerce) awarded Lee County $678,566 of HUD Hurricane Irma Community Development Block Grant Disaster Relief funds – later allocated to Mitigation funding – to IR034 for reconstruction of the pedestrian bridge over the Able Canal at Richmond Avenue in Lehigh Acres.
Project Status: This project is in the design phase.
