A public hearing will be held to take comment related to the development of the annual Action Plan for US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Fiscal Year 2013 and the Five Year Consolidated Plan for HUD Fiscal Years 2013-2017.

For the Annual Action Plan, Lee County will use 2012 budget figures for planning purposes as the 2013 amounts have not been announced.

In general, housing, community development, and projects to assist the homeless will be undertaken. Comment on the following issues is being specifically requested.

·         Homeless strategy and resources available to address the needs of homeless persons and those at risk of homelessness

·         Nonhousing community development needs

·         Public housing needs

·         Emergency Solutions Grant activities, performance standards, program evaluations, and the operation and administration of Homeless Management Information System (HMIS)

·         Objectives and outcomes

 The public hearing will take place during the Community Action Agency/Neighborhood District Committee meeting at 5:30 PM on November 1, 2012, at the Lee County Department of Human Services, 2440 Thompson Street, Fort Myers.
