NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE

BOARD OF LEE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

CONCERNING THE BOSTON RED SOX SPRING TRAINING

FACILITY SITE SELECTION, PROJECT FINANCING METHODOLOGY,

APPROVAL OF ARCHITECT’S CONTRACT AND

APPROVAL OF CONSTRUCTION MANAGER’S CONTRACT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Wednesday, April 29, 2009, beginning at 1:00 p.m., the Board of County Commissioners will hold a Special Meeting in the County Commission Chambers, 2120 Main Street, Old Lee County Courthouse, Fort Myers, Florida, for the purposes of a) selecting a primary and an alternate site for the construction of the proposed, new Boston Red Sox Spring Training Facility in Lee County, b) approval of the financing methodology for the Project, c) approval of the Project Architect’s contract and d) approval of the Project Construction Manager’s contract.  The meeting is anticipated to conclude at or about 5:00 p.m.

This meeting is open to the public, and interested citizens are invited to attend.  Input will be taken by the Board concerning all of the above matters from County Staff, Red Sox Representatives, participating Landowners and their Representatives and the public.  Public input will be limited to three (3) minutes per each individual submitting a blue “Request to Address” card prior to the opening of the meeting.
