Notice is hereby given that Lee County will apply for a USC Section 5307 Urbanized Area Formula Program grant with the Federal Transit Administration which will provide for operating and capital project assistance to Lee County's Transit Department, LeeTran.

Any interested party may request a public hearing by the Lee County Board of County Commissioners regarding the Program of Projects budget for this Urban Area Formula Program grant application.  To request a public hearing please submit a written request within 10 (ten) days of this notice to Lee County Transit 3401 Metro Parkway Fort Myers, FL 33901.

Any interested party may obtain a copy of this grant application at Lee County Transit 3401 Metro Parkway Fort Myers, FL 33901 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. 

Project Description: The project cost of this USC Section 5307 Urbanized Area Formula Program grant is estimated at $6,459,631 for the federal share portion of FY 2019 appropriation available under Fixing America's Surface Transportation (FAST) Act. Program funds will be matched with the state's transportation development credits.

Projects proposed will include funding for preventative maintenance, ADA Paratransit service, replacement of buses, Paratransit vans and support vehicles, software, planning and associated capital maintenance items.
