NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Hearing Examiner of Lee County will hold a public hearing beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2020, in the Lee County Board of County Commissioners Chambers, 2120 Main Street, Ft. Myers, FL. Interested individuals may appear and be heard with respect to the case below.
FFD Land Co., Inc. v. Lee County, Case No. 17-CA-001517 Settlement Agreement pursuant to § 70.01(4)(d), Fla. Stat.
The Hearing Examiner will hold an evidentiary hearing to evaluate a proposed Settlement Agreement that authorizes development approvals, including a maximum of approximately 5200 residential units, 100,000 square feet of commercial development, 50,000 square feet of office uses, and other associated uses on the FFD Property. The Property subject to this case is approximately 5208 acres located at 22030-036 Big Lou Road, Southeast Lee County Planning Community, Sections 26, 34, 35 and 36, Township 46 South, Range 26 East, and Sections 1, 2, 3, 11, and 12 Township 47 South, Range 26 East.
Pursuant to the Stipulation of Settlement approved by the Board of County Commissioners ("BoCC"), the Hearing Examiner will issue a recommendation to the BoCC concerning whether the proposed development authorized under the Settlement Agreement protects the public interest served by the Lee Plan, Local Regulations, and Florida Statutes in accordance with § 70.01(4)(d). The Hearing Examiner will take testimony and evidence as provided under Lee County Administrative Code AC-2-6 from FFD, County staff, and the general public.
