Public Information Workshop “OPEN HOUSE”

The Lee County Department of Transportation (LC DOT) is holding a public information workshop for the Burnt Store Road Widening Project from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, February 24,  2011 at the German American Social Club, Von Steuben Hall, 2101 SW Pine Island Road, Cape Coral, FL.  The public is encouraged to attend ANYTIME between 5 and 7 p.m.

LC DOT is designing the widening of Burnt Store Road from Pine Island Road north to Kismet Parkway.  This design has two phases - a widening to four lanes and an ultimate future concept to six lanes with a two-lane frontage road. Currently, construction to four lanes for the segment of Burnt Store Road from Pine Island Road to Tropicana Parkway is funded in late 2014.

The meeting will be conducted in an “open house” format; no formal presentation will be given.  The roadway design, including new bridges and access points, will be on display.  The Lee County project team will be available to answer questions and take comments about the project.
