Effective August 1, 2022 a fully executed Easement and Encumbrances Disclosure and Acknowledgment document will be required in addition to every fence permit application. The document, which is REQUIRED to be signed by the property owner, ensures that the property owner is aware that a fence placed in an easement (whether placed intentionally with the consent of the easement holder or unintentionally) must be removed at the expense of the property owner when requested by the easement holder.
Please email staff if you have any questions on this requirement.
