PAB1999-00002 - Southwest International Airport Expansion
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Future Land Use Map Series, Map 1 (page 1 of 4), to change 2,857 acres owned by the Lee County Port Authority adjacent to the Southwest Florida International Airport from the Density Reduction/Groundwater Resource category to the Airport category, to accommodate a new midfield terminal for expanded airport operations. Amend the Future Land Use Element, Policy 1.2.1.


PAB1999-00003 - Update Airport Noise Zones
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Future Land Use Map Series, Map 1, to depict the revised boundaries of the Airport Overlay Zone that establish airport noise compatible zones for Lee County. Amend the Future Land Use Element, Policy 1.7.1, to include references to Noise Zones 1 and 4.


PAM1999-00004 - Update the Future Water Service Areas
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Future Land Use Map Series, Map 6 - Lee County Future Water Service Areas, to reflect recent acquisitions of private utilities and the areas planned to be serviced by Lee County Utilities through the year 2020.


PAM1999-00005 - Update the Future Sewer Service Areas

Amend the Future Land Use Map Series, Map 7 - Lee County Future Sewer Service Areas, to reflect recent acquisitions of private utilities and the areas planned to be serviced by Lee County Utilities through the year 2020.


PAM1999-00006 - Incorporate Regional Water Supply Authority Plan
Current Status - Tabled
Amend the Future Land Use Map Series, Map 8, to reflect new technical data provided by the Regional Water Supply Authority. *This amendment was originally initiated in the 1999/2000 cycle. It was tabled to the 2000/2001 cycle.


PAM1999-00007 - Update Water Dependent Areas, Map 12
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Future Land Use Map Series, Map 12, by removing Fort Myers Beach water dependent areas from the map series.


PAT1999-00008 - Remove Mixed Use Interchange Category
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Future Land Use Element by deleting Policy 1.3.7. The issues addressed by Policy 1.3.7 are adequately addressed in the Glossary and the Transportation Element.


PAT1999-00009 - Incorporate Arnold Committee Recommendations
Current Status - Tabled
Reevaluate the language in Recommendation #6 of the Arnold Committee Report, which addresses the clustering of density in the Density Reduction/Groundwater Resource land use category. *This amendment was originally initiated in the 1999/2000 cycle. It was tabled to the 2000/2001 cycle.


PAT1999-00010 - Water Dependent Reference Correction
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Future Land Use Element by modifying Policy 1.7.5 to eliminate the reference to the Ports, Aviation, and Related Facilities Element and refer instead to the Conservation and Coastal Management element.


PAT1999-00011 - Update Goal 5, Residential Land Uses
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Future Land Use Element by modifying Objective 5.1 to broaden the objective to provide that development approvals for land uses other than residential, such as commercial or industrial proposals, must be consistent with the policies under Goal 5.


PAT1999-00012 - Marine Oriented Land Use - Reference Correction
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Future Land Use Element by modifying Objective 8.2 to reference the Marina Siting Criteria, Objective 98.5, and the Marina Design Criteria, Objective 98.6 in addition to modifying the reference to the Ports, Aviation, and Related Facilities Element which is now a sub-element of the Transportation Element.


PAT1999-00013 - Pine Island 810-910 Traffic Count
Current Status - Tabled
Amend the Future Land Use Element Policy 14.2.2 to reflect current road conditions due to the fact that traffic on Pine Island Road has surpassed the first threshold.


PAT1999-00014 - Update Watershed Basin Studies
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Community Facilities and Services Element by modifying Policy 37.1.4 to reflect the current status of Lee County Division of Natural Resources in completing the identified basin studies and providing technical floodplain information and analysis. *This amendment was originally initiated in the 1999/2000 cycle. It was tabled to the 2000/2001 cycle.


PAT1999-00015 - Amend the Procedures and Administration Correction
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Procedures and Administration Element, the Effect and Legal Status of the Plan section, by elevating the estoppel paragraph to its own letter and re-letter the subsequent paragraphs accordingly.


PAT1999-00016 - Update Build-Back Policy
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Procedures and Administration Element by modifying Section XIII.(a.)(E.) to include a time limit for the Build-back Policy.


PAT1999-00017 - Amend Procedures and Admin Element/Transferability
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Procedures and Administration Element by modifying Section XIII(b) to place limits on the applicability of administrative interpretations of the Lee Plan. The intent is to clarify exactly what is binding upon the County.


PAT1999-00018 - Update Marina Definition
Current Status - Effective
Revise the definition of "marina", as provided in the Lee Plan Glossary to reflect the definition used in the most current version of the Land Development Code.


PAT1999-00019 - Amend Table 1(a), Footnote 9©
Current Status - Effective
Reevaluate footnote 9(c) of Table 1(a), Summary of Residential Densities, by clarifying the current language.


PAB1999-00020 - Update Map 16
Current Status - Effective
Reevaluate the allocations of Table 1(b), Planning Community Year 2020 Allocations, for consistency with existing and approved developments. Create and modify Map 16 "Planning Communities" to acknowledge the incorporation of Bonita Springs and the planning efforts of specific communities. *This amendment was originally initiated in the 1999/2000 cycle. It was tabled to the 2000/2001 cycle.


PAT1999-00022 - "De-Shalling" Amendment

Review the entire Lee Plan, and modify all Elements, where applicable, to replace the word “shall” with more appropriate language such as “must,” “may,” or “will.”

Amend the Future Land Use Map series for a specified approximate 3.2 acre parcel of land located in Section16, Township 47 South, Range 25 East to change the classification shown on Map 1, the Future Land Use Map, from "Industrial Development" to "Urban Community."


PAM1999-00025 - Future Land Use Map Small Scale

Amend the Future Land Use Map series for a specified less than 1 acre parcel of land located in Section 35, Township 47 South, Range 22 East to change the classification shown on Map 1, the Future Land Use Map, from "Industrial Development" to "Urban Community."


PAM1999-00026 - Burnt Store - Rural to Outlying Suburban
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Future Land Use Map series for a specified portion of a parcel of land located in Section 06, Township 43 South, Range 23 East to change the classification shown on Map 1, the Future Land Use Map, from “Rural” to “Outlying Suburban.”


PAT1999-00027 - Corkscrew Road/I-75 Access Standards
Current Status - Effective
Amend Policy 1.3.8 to reflect the agreed-upon and established access connections to Corkscrew Road between Three Oaks Parkway and Ben Hill Griffin Parkway, to clarify the existing requirements for the other three roads addressed in the policy, to renumber the policy to 1.3.9 consistent with a recodification, and to replace the word "shall" with "will" consistent with current regulatory language trends. .
