CPA2000-00001 - Captain's Bay East
Current Status - Withdrawn
Administrative Interpretation of the Town of Fort Myers Beach Comprehensive Plan of whether Phase IV of Captain's Bay has been (or should have been) designated "Wetlands" on the basis of a clear factual error as set forth in Chapter 15, Page 3, Section A.1.


CPA2000-00002 - Boca Bay Master Association
Current Status - Effective
Amend Goal 15, Gasparilla Island, by adding the following Objective and Policy: Objective 15.5: Port Facility. The County will limit the water dependent overlay for South Boca Grande and the port district designation to the Port facility south of Belcher Road. Policy 15.5.1: The commercial and industrial uses permitted in the port District (excluding residential, accessory and uses approved pursuant to Special Exception) will not be permitted with that portion of the boundaries of Boca Bay Community with the Zoning designation of Port District.


CPA2000-00003 - Renaissance @ Daniels
Current Status - Effective
Convert 153 acres of Mixed Use Interchange and +/- 5 acres of General Interchange to Outlying Suburban. The result will be a reduction in intensity by converting these commercial areas to residential.


CPA2000-00004 - Bonita Bay Properties
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Residential Acre Allocation Table (Table 1b) to provide sufficient allocations to accommodate the proposed residential component of the Orange River property.


CPA2000-00005 - Crown Palms
Current Status - Withdrawn
Amend the Future Land Use Map for the subject area to change it from Airport Commerce and Rural classifications to Suburban to permit new residential and golf course uses.


CPA2000-00006 - Eagle Road
Current Status - Effective
Review, and amend if necessary, the future land use map for land near Eagle Road, Section 24, Township 43S, Range 23E, from Open Lands to Rural.


CPA2000-00007 - Add New Urban Infill Area
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Future Land Use Map Series by adding a map delineating an area in Sections 13 and 24, Township 44 South, Range 24 East and Sections 17, 18, 19, and 20 Township 44 South, Range 25 East as an urban infill area. In addition, amend Objective 1.7, Special Treatment Areas, of the Future Land Use Element by adding a new policy describing urban infill areas of the county.


CPA2000-00008 - Mirror FMB Future Land Use Map
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Future Land Use Map Series, Map 1, to more closely reflect the town of Fort Myers Beach adopted future land use map.


CPA2000-00009 - Conservation Lands - Update
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Future Land Use Map Series, Map 1, by updating the Conservation Lands land use categories.


CPA2000-00010 - Add Research and Devt to Airport Commerce Category
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Future Land Use Element by adding Research and Development as a permitted use under Policy 1.2.2, the Airport Commerce descriptor policy.


CPA2000-00011 - Interchange Category Extension Policy Update
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Future Land Use Element by modifying Policy 6.1.2.6 to clarify that extension of the interchange use is not by right, but is permissive and subject to county review and approval.


CPA2000-00012 - Oil Drilling and Pumping Policy
Current Status - Tabled
Amend the Future Land Use Element by recommending policies which incorporate findings on the compatibility of oil-related activities with the environment and urban uses as directed by Policy 10.2.1.


CPA2000-00013 - Add minimum preserve requirements to Goal 16
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Future Land Use Element by adding a Policy to Goal 16, Private Recreational Facilities in the DR/GR, specifying minimum indigenous preserve area requirements.


CPA2000-00014 - Maintenance Areas for Private Recr. Facilities
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Future Land Use Element by modifying Policy 16.3.9 to clarify the maintenance area intensity limitations.


CPA2000-00015 - Setbacks for Private Recreational Facilities
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Future Land Use Element by modifying Policy 16.3.8 to clarify setbacks from adjacent existing and planned residential uses.


CPA2000-00016 - Murphy Oil Education and Public Access
Current Status - Continued
Amend the Future Land Use Element by adding a Policy to Goal 12, San Carlos Island, to specifically preserve the use “Education/Public Access”on the Matanzas Pass Murphy Oil site.


CPA2000-00017 - Bonita Springs Incorporation
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Future Land Use Element by evaluating for removal Goal 13, Bonita Springs, and consider relocating policies which should continue to apply to the remaining unincorporated areas of Bonita Springs.


CPA2000-00018 - Amend Goal 14, Greater Pine Island
Current Status - Tabled
Amend the Future Land Use Map Series, Map 1, and Goal 14, Greater Pine Island, of the Future Land Use Element in response to the "Greater Pine Island Community Plan Update" prepared by the Greater Pine Island Civic Association.


CPA2000-00019 - Add Goal for Estero Community Plan
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Lee Plan, text and maps, to incorporate the recommendations of the Estero Community Planning Effort. Establishing a Goal and subsequent Objectives and Policies specific to the Estero Community.


CPA2000-00020 - Access Mgt for Alico, Bonita Beach and Luckett Rds
Current Status - Tabled
Modify Policy 1.3.9 to create specific access management plans for Alico Road, Bonita Beach Road, and Luckett Road in the vicinity of I-75 (follow up to PAT 99-27). In addition, evaluate including access management maps in the Future Land Use Map series.


CPA2000-00021 - General Transportation Update
Current Status - Effective
Modify Policy 26.1.3 to distinguish between traffic control devices and plans, expand Goal 27 to include the operation of transportation facilities in the list requiring cooperation with other government entities, add the City of Bonita Springs to Policy 27.1.3, and update Maps 3B and 3H to reflect the current 2020 road network (general transportation update).


CPA2000-00022 - Caloosahatchee Water Management Plan
Current Status - Effective
Evaluate adding a Watershed Management Plan policy for the Caloosahatchee River.


CPA2000-00023 - Evaluate Charlotte Harbor Watershed Plan
Current Status - Effective
Add a policy to the Lee Plan stating that by the year 2002 the county will review the Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan for the Greater Charlotte Harbor Watershed, identifying key action plans, objectives and policies relating to Pine Island Sound, Matlacha Pass, Estero Bay, and the Caloosahatchee system. Potential new language based on the Charlotte Harbor NEP Plan: By the year 2002 the County will review the Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan for the Greater Charlotte Harbor Watershed in order to identify key action plans, objectives and policies that relate to Pine Island Sound, Matlacha Pass, the Estero Bay, the tidal Caloosahatchee and attendant watersheds. The review will assess County upland and coastal development management practices and public land acquisition programs as they related to the findings and recommendations of the Charlotte Harbor Plan. Particular emphasis will be placed on evaluating the effectiveness of County watershed programs as they relate to watershed conservation and public land acquisition programs, watershed management needs prioritization and water quality monitoring.


CPA2000-00024 - Private Recreation Facilities Setbacks
Current Status - Tabled
Amend the Community Facilities and Services Element by adding a new Objective and Policy to Goal 40 encouraging the incorporation of isolated wetlands and wetland systems into the surface water management design of projects.


CPA2000-00025 - Open Space in Non-Residential Projects
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Element by adding a new Objective to Goal 52, Development Requirements, clarifying the purpose of open space in non-residential projects.


CPA2000-00026 - Backlogged and Constrained Roads
Current Status - Tabled
Eliminate the Backlogged Road reference and update the Constrained Roads reference in Policy 70.1.3.


CPA2000-00027 - CIP Update
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Capital Improvements Element (Tables 3 & 4) to reflect the latest adopted Capital Improvement Program.


CPA2000-00028 - 
Current Status - Tabled
Amend the Conservation and Coastal Management Element by revising Goal 74, Coastal Resource Protection, to apply on a county-wide basis rather than being limited to the coastal planning area. In addition amend Policy 1.5.1 of the Future Land Use Element to include a reference to Goal 74.


CPA2000-00029 - Define "Natural Resource Extraction"
Current Status - Effective
Evaluate adding a definition for the term “Natural Resource Extraction” to the Lee Plan Glossary. In addition, amend the Future Land Use Element by adding the term “Natural Resource Extraction” to Goal 10 and its Objectives and Policies, where applicable, clarifying that natural resources other than minerals are subject to Goal 10 requirements.


CPA2000-00030 - Coconut Point MPD
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Future Land Use Map for an approximate 432 acre portion of land located in Sections 04 & 09, Township 47 South, Range 25 East, to change the classification shown on Map 1 of the Future Land Use Map series from "Rural" to "Urban Community."


CPA2000-00031 - Remove Avigation Easements
Current Status - Effective
Amend Policy 1.7.1, Airport Noise Zones, of the Future Land Use Element by removing language pertaining to the dedication of noise and avigation easements to Lee County within noise zones 2 and 3. Also amend the Lee Plan by deleting Policy 32.2.6. pertaining to the Avigation Easements Program. In addition, amend the Lee Plan Glossary by removing the definition of the term avigation easement as it will no longer apply in the Lee Plan
