Pine Island Public Library
About the Library

Since 1962 the Pine Island Public Library has served Pine Island, Matlacha, North Captiva, Useppa, Cabbage Key, Cayo Costa, and parts of Cape Coral. Before the library opened, service to the islands was by book boat, then by volunteers who loaned books from Pine Island Center. Originally housed in what is now The Museum of the Islands, the library moved into its current location in 1986.
