| U.S. Treasury's Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) program has provided communities funding to support housing stability throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Lee County received an allocation of $41.6 million through the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 and the American Rescue Plan Act for Emergency Rental Assistance.

Results
In Lee County more than 3,000 low-to-moderate income households were assisted with this funding support; $33.6 million in rental assistance and $2.6 million in utilities assistance. Additionally, $1.6 million is being used for eligible affordable housing rehabilitation. The balance of the funds were administrative costs for the program.
