Cape Coral Mayor Joins Lee County Tourist Development Council

LEE COUNTY, FL (October 10, 2006)  The Lee County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has appointed Cape Coral Mayor Eric Feichthaler to the Lee County Tourist Development Council (TDC) today.  

Feichthaler has served as Cape Coral's mayor since 2005.  He is an attorney at the firm of Adams, Feichthaler and Brinson.  He moved to Cape Coral in 1987 and has four generations of his family in the city.  Feichthaler received his bachelor of arts degree in economics (with honors) from the University of Miami in 1994, a juris doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. in 1997, and a master of laws degree in taxation from New York University School of Law in 2001. 

Feichthaler's serves as chairman of the Lee County Metropolitan Planning Organization, is a member of the Transportation and Urban Administration Committee of the Florida League of Cities, and serves on the board of directors of the Florida League of Mayors.  His community involvement includes the Cape Coral Rotary Club and Christ Lutheran Church.  

He will replace Cape Coral City Councilman Mickey Rosado.   

The nine-member TDC was established by the BOCC in 1983 to increase tourism to Lee County.
