Commissioners to Recognize 100 Advisory Boards
Jan 22, 2007 For Immediate Release Lee County Commissioners To Recognize 100 Advisory Boards On Tuesday, January 30, 2007, 8:30 – 9:15 AM, the Lee County Board of County Commissioners will conduct a reception for all of its 100 Advisory Boards in the Commission Chambers in the Lee County Courthouse. The Courthouse is located at 2120 Main Street in downtown Ft Myers. The weekly Board of County Commissioners meeting will begin at 9:30 AM. The Board relies on the advisory committees for citizen input in numerous areas as diverse as of tourism, economic development, sidewalks and bike paths, airport management and street lighting districts, etc. The reception will afford the Commissioners an opportunity to address the citizen advisors and acknowledge their contributions. Approximately 800 citizens serve on the 100 advisory boards. The ceremony is open to the public and area citizens are encouraged to attend the festivities. Media inquires only………..
