Message from the Public Safety Director
Lee County is a tropical paradise, but along with Florida's year-round sunshine comes the risk of hurricanes. If you haven't created your
family emergency plan for hurricanes, now is the time to get started. It's easy with Lee County's tips on what to do before, during and after a hurricane.
Lee County Public Safety's Emergency Management Program has a state-of-the-art
Emergency Operations Center that is the command center for official Lee County emergency information when a hurricane becomes an imminent threat. That team provides an updated All Hazards Guide each year to assist residents in advance planning. Below are some useful resources from other county departments, plus links to outside agencies.
And remember, a hurricane's high winds can cause power outages that last for days, even weeks. Print copies of must-have reference materials and download those apps now to help protect your family and property.
