- mapping and cataloging of drainage facilities
- preparation of simulation models for selected rainfall events

- monitoring rainfall and flood stage recordings
Capital Improvement Program
Florida Statutes require that all counties develop a five-year Capital Improvement Program. It represents a five-year plan designed to meet the capital improvement needs of the County. Capital improvements include major infrastructure facilities such as roads, bridges, parks, libraries, utilities, and general government facilities. Examples of capital projects in surface water include filter marsh construction, flow way restoration, and projects intended to maintain flood-carrying capacity.
