During the 2023 legislative session, the Florida Legislature passed SB 170 which includes a requirement for counties to post a "Business Impact Estimate" on the County's website prior to the adoption of certain ordinances. That portion of the law became effective on Oct. 1 2023. The Business Impact Estimate includes certain disclosures relating to a proposed ordinance including, but not limited to, estimated compliance costs for businesses and estimated regulatory costs for the County.  Some types of ordinances are exempt and do not require the document to be posted.
